Ezy-Guard 4 guardrail crash barriers impose lower forces to the impacting vehicle than traditional guardrail crash barriers. As the crash barrier deflects, vehicle impact energy is dissipated through yielding of the posts and tensile forces exerted on the W-Beam. The lightweight, ductile Z-posts provide a forgiving impact, reduce ride-down deceleration forces and minimise occupant risk.
The system has been fully crash tested to MASH TL3 and now offers NCHRP-350 TL4 containment level.
With a system width of just 200mm, Ezy-Guard 4 is significantly narrower than traditional guardrail barriers that incorporate the use of blocking pieces. Ezy-Guard 4 conserves valuable formation width and allows a greater recovery width to be provided for errant vehicles.
The system also offers rapid installation when compared to other crash barrier systems with a quickly driven 875mm of post in ground and no concrete required.
