Raptor™ pole protectors are a unique low cost and fast to install energy absorbing device, designed to reduce the severity of vehicle impacts with utility poles and trees.
Raptor™ pole protectors have been extensively crash tested and have passed NCHRP 350 TL1 as a gating, non-re-directive crash cushion.
The beauty of the Raptor™ is that it can be installed in 30 minutes and requires no concrete footing or groundwork, just a roughly level pad of grass, soil, asphalt etc, around the pole or tree to be protected.
Raptors can solve the problem of how to economically protect a hazardous pole or tree that is too close to a roadway and that is prone to being hit, but is unable to be relocated.
