Flexbeam W-Beam Guardrail Barrier

Ingal Civil Products' FLEXBEAM, or Strong Post Timber W-beam guardrail (SGR04B) is an older type of longitudinal barrier in use along local roads and state highways in NZ. It is a public domain (non-proprietary) system.

The NZ Transport Agency has recently re-categorised Strong Post Timber W-beam guardrail as a legacy system and may not be installed on new state highway projects. Existing installations may be repaired/maintained until replacement with a higher performing barrier system is viable or necessary.
