January 2015 Ingal Civil Products are pleased to announce the successful crash testing of the Ezy-Guard system to NCHRP-350 Test Level 4, this is the containment and redirection of an 8000kg truck, impacting the barrier at 80km/h and 15°. This means the containment levels of the barrier system are now MASH TL3 and NCHRP-350 TL4. A slight modification to the system design was made to contain this much larger vehicle, this was increasing the rail height to 787mm. The improved system is currently undergoing evaluation by the NZTA and should be available forthwith.
